My name is Béibhínn McCarthy and I am a Dublin-based Illustrator and designer. In 2020 I graduated from The National College of Art and Design with a first class honours BA in Communication Design, specialising in Illustration. Since graduating I have been working as a freelance illustrator on a range of projects from children’s picture books to editorial pieces. Some people I have worked with include The Irish Times, STAND non-profit, and Mac Group Construction. My work is inspired by both the mundane and the magical, in particular my life in Dublin city, and I like to sneak my little kitten Mika into as many personal projects as possible My Illustrations put an emphasis on saturation of colour and texture, and I builds a sense of depth and detail through her means of digital drawing.
